A1) Will my fresh meat arrive in good condition?

Don't worry - when you buy fresh, quality, local meat from Cook & Butcher, it is packed using special coolants to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.

Once we have received your order we shall allocate items you have chosen and cut/prepare anything necessary within 24hrs prior to despatch.

Any fresh meats shall be vacuum packed/labelled and placed inside your insulated chill-box, ready for delivery. This shall be placed with our specially formulated ice-packs to keep it cold.

The chill-box is sealed and labelled with our Cook & Butcher labels to keep lid sealed and in place.

Cool packs are formulated and designed to keep your produce at or below 5°C for at least 24hrs, we advise you to transfer your goods into a refrigerator upon receipt.

 

The ice-packs are rectangular sheet made up of separate cells, containing food safe and non-toxic liquid. You can return these ice-packs along with your cool box the next time you have a delivery by leaving in a chosen, safe place, by doing so you shall receive reward points to your account (please see our “Reward Scheme” for further details.)

A2) How much does delivery cost and where do you deliver to?

We make a charge to cover the cost of packing and delivery; this cost is calculated for you automatically and you will see the full price before placing your online order.

We deliver to the following areas listed below along with p&p charges and minimum requirements.

£3.95P&P/£30 MINIMUM ORDER

RG7 (4/5/6/8), RG14, RG18, RG19, RG20, RG26

 

£3.95P&P/£60 MINIMUM ORDER

RG7 (1/2/3), RG8, RG17

 

FOR ALL OTHER RG POSTCODES, PLEASE EMAIL YOUR ENQUIRY SO WE CAN DISCUSS ADDITIONAL P&P CHARGES AND MINIMUM ORDERS THAT MAY APPLY IN YOUR LOCATION.

 

WE REGRET WE DO NOT CURRENTLY OFFER A PERSONAL DELIVERY SERVICE OUTSIDE THE RG POSTCODE AREA AND WOULD HAVE TO USE A SPECIALIST COURRIER SERVICE. HOWEVER IF YOU WISH TO SHOP WITH US WE WILL DO OUR BEST TO HELP, SO PLEASE EMAIL YOUR ENQUIRY AND WE WILL INVESTIGATE ANY ADDITIONAL CARRIAGE CHARGES.

 

Orders below the minimum value necessary to qualify for delivery can be ordered via telephone and collected at an agreed time when convenient for you. Payment shall be taken by credit/debit card when placing the order.

A3) When will my delivery arrive?

To ensure all products are at their peak condition when delivered we work on a weekly delivery service.

ORDER ANY DAY BEFORE 12PM WEDNESDAY AND RECEIVE YOUR DELIVERY ON THURSDAY.  ANY ORDERS PLACED AFTER THIS TIME SHALL BE TREATED AS IF ORDERED FOR DELIVERY THE FOLLOWING THURSDAY.

The table below shows the earliest delivery time we can achieve for online orders to maintain our high standards.

We shall make delivery between the hours of 7am-5pm.

*Please note if this changes due to severe weather conditions or something out of our control we shall notify you at our earliest possible chance and aim to deliver as soon as possible.
